Carers Leeds is delighted to be a finalist in the 2018 HSJ Awards, the world’s largest healthcare awards programme.
We’ve now made it to final three years in a row, winning in 2016 after showcasing our work with primary care. In 2017 it was the work of our Dementia Hub which took us to the final and this year, in the category of System Led Support for Carers, our work Supporting Carers of Older People in Leeds Teaching Hospitals has caught the eye of the judges.
We are delighted that our innovative partnership work with the hospitals, adult social care and the independent sector has gained recognition and illustrates how well carers can be supported if we all work together.
The next stage will be to present our project to a panel of senior health professionals in October and the overall winner will be announced at the awards ceremony in London in November.
