Carers Leeds facilitates around 30 carer support groups each month. Group support is a good way to share experiences and get emotional support from other people in the same or a similar situation.
The groups are welcoming and friendly, give carers a break from caring and gives you the opportunity to get advice, information and support tailored towards your caring role.
We run general carer support groups and several specialist carer groups at locations across the city.
Whether you are a parent carer, a young adult carer or you care for someone with dementia, we have groups to suit a wide range of needs. We also run recovery groups for people with mental health issues, their family and friends. There are also two book groups for carers and former carers that meet regularly.
Some groups enjoy activities, well-being sessions and have speakers who may be of particular interest to the group.
