Carers Leeds and Community Links are working in partnership to provide a service for younger people (under 65) with dementia across Leeds.

Community Links provide a day service located in Cottingley and Carers Leeds provides support to carers and families of people who use the service. If you care for someone who uses the day service, you are welcome to join us at the following events:

Dementia café
2pm until 4pm on Saturday 10 November
Young Dementia Hub, Cottingley, Drive, LS11 0JP
Following requests from carers the Young Dementia Hub will host a monthly dementia café. The only thing that we have agreed upon is for it to be monthly and to involve tea and cake. The rest is negotiable! And that includes the name and also the content of the group. We hope to see lots of you there! The whole family is welcome.

NEW! Carer support groups
We are going to trial two new carer support groups. Like the dementia café, they are a work in progress and can take whatever shape you want.

Carers group one: Meeting every third Thursday of the month (15 November, 20 December, and 17 January) from 4pm until 6pm. Taking place at the Young Dementia Hub, Cottingley Drive, LS11 0JP.

Carers group two: Meeting on Tuesday 27 November (future dates to be confirmed) from 10am until 12pm, taking place at Carers Leeds, The Headrow, LS1 6PT.

There is no need to book for the support groups. You’re welcome to come along to meet Carer Support Worker Jo Foster and other family carers. We hope to see lots of you there!

Emergency first aid course
