Many young and adult unpaid carers took on an increased amount of caring responsibilities during Covid-19 pandemic.

Many people took on new caring responsibilities for their friend, next door neighbour, relative who was ill or have a disability and those needing support.

The event will raise awareness in the community of Harehills and about the challenges unpaid carers face and make carers feel supported and valued for their contribution to their family and friends. Our event hopes to also help individuals feel visible by helping those who don’t think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as a carer to receive the much-needed support.
