Carers together (women’s group)
January 16 @ 10:30 am - 2:00 pm| Free
Do you look after someone who can’t manage without your help because of illness, frailty, disability or drug/alcohol problem?
You are welcome to join us at this group for female carers to share experiences of caring and access free information, advice and support.
In this January session we’ll aim to beat the winter blues with fun game of tenpin bowling, followed by a well deserved cuppa. This event is for women only, and booking is essential. For more details contact Zaira on 07854 480 972.
We usually meet at the Hamara Healthy Living Centre on the first Thursday of each month to chat, enjoy a cuppa and meet with other carers in a relaxing setting.
This group is one of many free carers groups within the city. Group support is a good way to share experiences and get emotional support from other people in the same or similar situation.
The groups are welcoming and friendly, give carers a break from caring and gives you the opportunity to get advice, information and support tailored towards your caring role.
Some groups enjoy activities, well-being sessions and have speakers who may be of particular interest to the group.
If you need any further information please contact Carers Leeds advice line on 0113 380 4300.
