Can you help us support our carers?

We’re looking for volunteers to support the Advice Service to process external referrals and directly provide initial information to carers about Carers Leeds services.

You will help to follow up professional referrals and contact carers with initial information about Carers Leeds services. This will establish a consistent, positive start to a carers journey of support and ensure carers feel engaged and informed around the support they will receive.

You will create a welcoming and inclusive environment where you will engage with carers and professionals via telephone, contacting them on point of referral and triaging to Carers Leeds teams appropriately. There will be a team of volunteers who will work together at a city centre venue to support the service and work closely with our advice team to streamline our referrals.

You will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills within our advice service and be a part of the advice team at Carers Leeds.

The time commitment is flexible Monday to Friday (9am – 5pm) and travel expenses will be reimbursed.
