Safeguarding and Domestic Violence

We know that sometimes, carers can be at risk from the person they care for or another person at home. We also come across examples of carers causing harm to the person they care for, when the stress and strain of caring gets too much.

If you or the person you care for are in immediate danger, call 999 straight away.

You could be worried that the person you care for is at risk, when they are looked after by someone else, such as a health and care professional, family member or friend.

If you are concerned about yourself or the person you care for, our Advice Line can listen and help you find the right support.
