Hello and welcome to the March 2026 update from Carers Leeds!

And first of all… Happy Easter! We hope your weekend is full of rest, relaxation—and plenty of chocolate. Mini eggs, if you ask us.

It’s an exciting time for Carers Leeds as we celebrate our 30th anniversary, and we’ve got lots of events and opportunities coming up.

If you fancy something relaxed and social, why not join our Woof and Walk at Roundhay Park on the 18th of April? Whether you’ve got a dog or just enjoy a good walk, it’s a great way to meet others and get some fresh air.

Feeling a bit more adventurous? We’re also taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge this August—26 miles to raise funds for unpaid carers across Leeds. Some of our team have already signed up, so why not join us?

We’re also shining a spotlight on our Befriending Project, which supports carers who may be feeling isolated. Volunteers are matched with carers for a chat, a walk, or simply some company. If you’ve got time to give—or know someone who has—we’d love to hear from you.

In other news, there are plenty of ways to get involved this month—from wellbeing groups and peer support, to learning sessions like our upcoming talk on the Care Act and Carers Assessments on the 21st of April.

And if you want your voice heard, there are opportunities to take part in research and help shape future support for carers.

To find out more about anything we’ve mentioned, visit the Carers Leeds website or get in touch.

From all of us at Carers Leeds—take care, and have a lovely Easter.
