Get Online Week runs from the 20th –26th October 2025.
Get Online Week is a national campaign that has been helping people discover the benefits of being online since 2007.
At Carers Leeds, we know that being online can make life easier — whether it’s staying connected with friends and family, accessing services, or finding a bit of time for yourself.
During Get Online Week, we’ll be offering friendly support and hosting learning sessions to help carers build confidence with digital skills in a relaxed and supportive way.

Being online can make life as a carer a little easier. With internet access, you can find helpful resources and support, and stay connected with others even when it’s hard to meet face-to-face.
You can look up information about health conditions and use tools like the NHS app to order prescriptions. Online shopping can also save you time and energy, with groceries and essentials delivered straight to your door.
The internet is also a great way to save money, with plenty of discounts available on products, bills, and insurance.
And it’s not all about practical things — there are lots of enjoyable activities online too! You can play games, explore your family history, listen to your favourite music, watch videos, or even learn new skills. Having access to these activities anytime gives you more flexibility and helps you look after your own wellbeing.
Carers Leeds is offering learning sessions for unpaid carers, with options to join in person or online, giving you the chance to learn new skills in a supportive way.
