How your workplace can support Carers Leeds

Would your business like to support unpaid carers in Leeds? Carers Leeds provides information, advice and support across our city to those looking after a family member or friend who couldn’t manage without their help. Providing unpaid care can be rewarding but it can be hugely challenging. We provide a vital service to unpaid carers, to help them to care and look after their own health and wellbeing.

We couldn’t do this without help from businesses like yours! Please get in touch with comms@carersleeds.org.uk to find out how we can work together to make a difference today.

Working with us can help you fulfil your Corporate Social Responsibility and make a difference in our city. It can demonstrate your commitment to supporting unpaid carers (1 in 7 of the workforce are unpaid carers). Fundraising at work is a great way to boost morale and team building, whilst supporting a local charity and raising money for unpaid carers.

Payroll Giving

Make payday even better by knowing you are supporting unpaid carers in Leeds each month.

What is Payroll Giving?

It is a simple, tax-free way of giving to charity directly from your salary.

How does it work?

Payroll Giving donations are deducted before tax. If you pay tax at the basic rate of 20%, for each £1 you donate, it will only cost you 80p. If you pay tax at the higher rate of 40% it will only cost you 60p. This means Payroll Giving donations cost you at least 25% less as they’re taken from your pre-tax pay.

What are the benefits of Payroll Giving?

Payroll Giving provides Carers Leeds with a regular, long-term income. This is invaluable because it not only provides guaranteed revenue but also enables us to budget and plan more effectively.

For you it is a tax-free, practical way of giving and you know that every £1 you donate will go directly to helping provide support and advice for unpaid carers in Leeds.

For example, giving just £5 a month (£60 per year) will go towards the cost of providing a massage therapy treatment for an unpaid carer, helping to reduce stress and anxiety.

How can I support Carers Leeds through Payroll Giving?
