Carers Leeds are offering a free workshop to help carers find out more about:
- Understanding dementia and how our memory works
- Practical ways to support someone living with dementia
- Coping with unusual behaviours (e.g. false beliefs, perception changes, hallucinations, changes in taste, behaviour changes on an evening etc)
- Mental Capacity
- Forward planning
- Support in hospital
- The role of Adults and Health (Adult Social Care)
- Finding and paying for care
- Other support / services in Leeds
- Looking after yourself
The workshop is open to any carer in Leeds and is for the carer only.
Pre-booking is essential.
