🎭 From 2:30pm to 3:00pm – Our Stories
We’re proud to host Fall into Place as they present Our Stories—a short, powerful performance inspired by real-life experiences of unpaid carers. Combining carers’ words, fictional scenes, and creative storytelling, this performance explores the often-unheard realities of caring.
We hope it resonates with you, sheds light on the emotional complexity of unpaid care, and highlights just how essential it is to recognise and support carers.

Join us for a series of in-person training sessions designed to equip you with practical tools and knowledge to support your caring role:

Learn about Carer’s Allowance and other benefits, how to apply, and find out if you’re eligible—vital knowledge given the current cost of living challenges. - Care Act and Carers Assessments
Understand your legal rights under the Care Act, how to request a Carer’s Assessment, and how this can make a real difference to your support. - Lasting Power of Attorney and the Alternatives
Discover how LPAs work and how to set one up to help plan for the future.

Our Chief Executive, Claire Turner, will present the findings from our Annual Survey, The State of Unpaid Caring in Leeds.
Hear what the survey reveals about carers’ experiences, what it means for carers in Leeds. We will also hear directly from carers themselves and what caring means to them. This is also a great chance to network and connect with other unpaid carers and professionals working with unpaid carers.
