Ever thought how many of your most skilled, experienced people actually work two jobs?

With three million people in the UK juggling a day job with caring for someone who is older, ill or disabled, its likely you’ll have working carers in your organisation – often at the peak of their career.

Retaining valued members of staff and ensuring they remain engaged and productive is common business sense – and that means ensuring you have a supportive workplace for all staff, including the growing numbers who are or will become carers.

Carers Leeds can help.  We facilitate a quarterly roundtable discussion amongst employers of Leeds to share ideas and best practice around how to identify, engage, support and retain valued ‘working carers’ in your organisation.

We hope you can join us on Carers Rights Day, a national day to raise awareness among unpaid carers about the rights and support they are entitled to, as well as highlighting employers legal responsibilities and good business practice in supporting employees with caring responsibilities outside of work.

Thursday 20th November, 10am – 12.00 noon, online via MS Teams
