Join Leeds Recovery College for a free wellbeing course designed to help unpaid carers develop self-compassion and manage stress.

Caring for someone else can sometimes mean putting your own needs last. This session offers an opportunity to pause, reflect and learn how to treat yourself with the same kindness and care you offer others.

During the course, you’ll explore:

  • What self-compassion means and why it matters.
  • What can make it difficult to be kind to yourself.
  • How to recognise and manage your inner critic.
  • What drains your energy and what helps restore it.
  • Simple, practical techniques you can use in everyday life.
