On Tuesday 29th September 2026, we celebrated a very special milestone – 30 years of Carers Leeds! We were delighted to welcome so many wonderful people to Leeds Civic Hall for an afternoon filled with music, laughter, food and celebration.

For three decades, Carers Leeds has been proud to stand alongside unpaid carers across Leeds, offering information, advice, emotional support and opportunities to connect. Our 30th anniversary was a fantastic opportunity to bring everyone together, reflect on how far we’ve come and celebrate the incredible people who make our community so special.

We would like to say a BIG THANK YOU for a lovely afternoon. Everything was lovely, warm welcome, treats, good food and entertainment and meeting other carers. Here’s hoping your service continues for another 30 years and more. Happy Birthday.

The afternoon was packed with entertainment, including live piano music during a delicious buffet lunch, fantastic Motown, soul and party classics from Frankie Heart, and a special performance from Reggie’s Reggae Choir. There was also a raffle with some brilliant prizes and plenty of time for everyone to relax, catch up and enjoy the celebrations. We were especially pleased to welcome the Lord Mayor of Leeds, who joined us for part of the afternoon to help mark this important milestone.

We want to say a massive thank you to everyone who came along and helped make our 30th anniversary celebration so special. Whether you’re an unpaid carer, volunteer, supporter, partner or friend of Carers Leeds, we’re incredibly grateful to have you as part of our community. Most importantly, this celebration was about recognising the thousands of unpaid carers across Leeds whose dedication, compassion and resilience make such a difference every single day.

We captured some lovely moments from the afternoon, and we’re excited to share them with you. Here’s to the next 30 years!
