Digital Inclusion Project

We know many things these days rely on technology – from online banking to appointments, and this can often be overwhelming at times. Our Digital Inclusion Project at Carers Leeds provides support on a one-to-one and group basis for carers who would like an introduction to digital technology or would like support in becoming more confident to use a device and its features.

Being able to go online can open up a world of support and resources for carers. This might include the ability to access medical information which can save valuable time, or the ability to quickly communicate with friends, family, and support networks which can reduce social isolation.

What support can the
Digital Inclusion Project offer?

  • Drop-in digital cafes across the local community
  • Help and support in accessing equipment to get online
  • Training and support in using digital technology (such as a smartphone, tablet or laptop)
  • 1:1 support – by telephone
  • Training and support in using different apps or programmes (such as games, online shopping, instant messaging, video calling, or online banking)
  • Support in accessing online support groups and events
