Join our friendly group of parent carers for a tasty lunch at the street food zone in Kirkgate Market. We’ll be meeting at Carers Leeds office at 11:30 and then heading down to choose some lunch. Most dietary requirements are catered for. Carers are asked to contribute up to £5 towards their meal.

Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. It also helps people who don’t think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access much-needed support.

This Carers Week 2019, we’re coming together to help carers get connected. There are 6.5 million people in the UK who are carers. They will be looking after a family member or friend who has a disability, mental or physical illness or who needs extra help as they grow older.
