We understand that carers often don’t have time to stop and chat so this Carers Week information stand at Leeds Jewish Welfare Board will be well stocked and available all day. Drop by and pick up information about our many different services that might be helpful to you or another carer that you know. On Thursday between 1pm & 3pm, we’ll also have one of our carer support workers on hand to answer any questions you might have.

Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. It also helps people who don’t think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access much-needed support.

This Carers Week 2019, we’re coming together to help carers get connected. There are 6.5 million people in the UK who are carers. They will be looking after a family member or friend who has a disability, mental or physical illness or who needs extra help as they grow older.
