Dementia workshop – Understanding dementia

Are you caring for a family member or friend with dementia?
Carers Leeds is offering 4 free workshops to help carers find out more about:
- Understanding dementia
- Coping with unusual behaviours
- Legal and money matters
- Accessing support and services
When? 11am to 1pm on the following Friday’s: 05 April, 12 April, 26 April & 03 May 2019.
(It would be most beneficial to attend all 4 sessions )
This session will introduce dementia and the impact of dementia. The aim is to provide participants with a better understanding of dementia and its symptoms.
Topics covered in session 1 –
- What is dementia
- Physical infections that can cause delirium in dementia
- Use of anti dementia medication
- Symptoms of dementia
