About the day

Each day, 12,000 people take on the role of unpaid carer for a partner, family member, or friend. Many don’t realize they are carers and are often unaware of their legal rights or the support and benefits they are entitled to. This year’s theme, “Recognising Your Rights,” aims to help carers understand their rights and access the support they need, whenever they need it.

We warmly invite all unpaid carers to join us for the day’s events, outlined below. You are welcome to attend any or all sessions, each followed by a short q & a. Carers Leeds staff will also be on hand to answer any other questions related to your caring role.

Please note spaces are limited and must be booked in advance. We are also running the same sessions on Thursday 21st November 2024 at the Carers Leeds offices. Please see here for more details.
