What a glorious trip we had to the very lovely York Gate Gardens in Adel.  Eight bereaved carers gathered with Judy and Sue, Bereaved Carer Support workers at Carers Leeds, for a gentle meander around the gardens.  The gardens are a beautiful oasis of calm in the hustle and bustle of city life and it was a delight to be able to wander around the intriguing nooks and crannies, and of course we managed to fit in a drink and a piece of cake!

The Support After Loss Group meets at Carers Leeds on a monthly basis, one month we have a meet up and a chat over a cuppa and a biscuit and another month we have a trip out somewhere or may have someone coming to talk to the group.  All the members of the group have been carers and understand what it is like to lose the person you have been caring for.
